Friday, we headed to back yard to play. Usually when we do this, Baron either makes a bee line toward the pond or next door. This time he actually stayed in the yard. We did a little bit of everything from coloring with the sidewalk chalk, throwing the ball to the dog, blowing bubbles, climbing on the gator and then falling off the gator, hitting his first baseball with a bat, running up the hill only to turn around and run down while making funny noises, to throwing the discus for the first time just like his dad.
Rob is never one to embellish, however, I don't having any issues doing so. Since he was a Big 8 Champion (now currently Big 12), an Olympic Trial qualifier, and an All American in discus, it's only natural for him to want Baron to be interested in something that played such a big part in Rob's life. Rob has been getting out the discus lately and throwing again and while we were outside playing, Baron totally wanted in on the fun. Rob would throw it and Baron would chase after it, pick it up and try to throw just like his daddy. So sweet...just didn't have the camera at that time.
