Airplane Grandma and Grandpa, as they are called around here, flew into St. Louis the Wednesday before Labor Day to spend 9 crazy fun filled days with all of their children and grand children. Since we only get to see them once a year, we always spend the time doing numerous activities and all get together as a family. This year, with Baron and Riley being older, they were able to bond a lot more with them and were also able to partake in many of the fun things we did.
First activity up…Griffin’s baseball tournament. Thankfully, this was at the park right down from Dad and Cindy’s house. Rob and I packed the car up, grabbed Baron and headed to the games. The weather was so nice and Baron had the best time. We brought some squirt guns and it seems like those were a hit with all the kids. Baron seemed to use all his “ammo” on Airplane Grandpa and was very shocked when he actually fought back. Baron wasn’t too keen on the water going in his direction as much as he liked getting all the others. He really had a good time. It was so nice to be able to let him just run around. In fact, that’s all the kid did. He was so exhausted by the end of the day but not before we took at dip in the pool at Dad’s house. That was a first. Of course I didn’t have the camera for any of it but he was just amazed that he was in that big pool and couldn’t touch the ground. Yes, a little scared but once he knew he was safe, he was all for it. Definitely looking forward to more of that.
