Laughing Baby

Finally...we were able to capture the big hearty laugh of Baron. We have been hearing this for a while now and it's so hard to capture. Honestly, this is the first time he's laughed for such a long time when we repeatedly did something. Usually we do it a few times and he's done.
Go figure that it takes throwing things on his head to make him giggle. We loved every minute of it.
I have tried to shorten the video as much as I could but it's still a long one. But I personally could watch a laughing baby forever.

Rombach Farms Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to the Pumpkin Patch in Chesterfield. This place is really neat even though we came the last weekend before Halloween everything hadn't been picked apart yet as it has in past years. They have so many different areas to look at even a small haunted house in their barn. Other than it being SO windy, we liked walking around and making Baron sit while we took a ton of pictures.
Of course from far away, Rob spotted an old FarmAll tractor and we just had to take a video of it. Rob was so proud of his little boy sitting on one of his most beloved tractors from childhood.

After the tractor, we saw several pumpkins on the ground and decided to put Baron in the middle of all of them. He absolutely loved it. If only the wind hadn't been so strong it would have been better but we made do. Here's a video of it.

Gumbo Flats Pumpkin Run

Saturday was the Pumpkin Run in Chesterfield. It was a chilly 35 degrees out but warming and quite windy. Thankfully we were blocked for the majority of the time from the warehouses. It was a fun run as we have done this once before in 06' and this time seemed like there were so many more participants.
We bundled up Baron and surprisingly he stayed awake for most of the run. I think he really enjoys it, just taking in all the sights and all the other babies that were there. This is definitely a run that we will be able to take him to as he gets older.

Rockin' on the knees

Baron has been doing this for a while, however, every time I get the camera and turn it on, he stops. It's been quite frustrating...Finally when he didn't see me, I grabbed the camera and caught him in action. I really can't wait until he starts crawling. It's going to be so fun!

Humpty Dumpty

We have finally begun to sit by ourselves (a little bit). He will sit there until he decides to buck like a bronco and then that sends him falling back. We usually have something behind him but today I thought that he would get it. Not so.
We also need to send a shout out to Aunt Amy for the cute puppy dog hat...loves it!

Round n Round we go

Baron is starting to do circles all over the place. If we place the barrels to the side or back of him he pulls himself around to them. He's really starting to figure out that he can either roll over to something that interests him or he can pull himself around to it. Haven't yet figured out how to go forward but that will come.

Johnny Jump Up

Baron really likes his johnny jump up. He's really starting to get the idea of it. He just jumps and jumps and jumps. He's starting to learn to swing but I don't think I want him to start that. Other than the sound that it makes, it's a great toy to have.

Pears, are you kidding me!

We started Pears the other day and I was presented with the new face of disgust. He puckers his lips, throws on the mean face and starts breathing through his nose like a warthog ready to pounce.
You would think that the fruits would be his favorite but that's proving to be otherwise. I don't know why he doesn't like them and prefers the veggies but hey, maybe that's a good thing.

Baron's 6 Month Pictures

A couple of weeks ago when Amy was in town we took Baron to get some professional pictures taken. He did such a good job thanks a lot to Taylyn who kept him pretty entertained. It was such a good time trying on different outfits, placing him in different poses, honestly, I was kind of sad it was over so quickly. Then the hard part came...picking out the ones that were keepers. Of course to a mothers eye, they all were good but thanks to Amy she helped me get the best ones and I think she was right.

We went and picked up his pictures tonight and we were SOOO happy. They turned out so good. I had a hard time scanning in the larger ones and will have to play with them in order to make the quality better but I just wanted to show off our little guy. We're so proud!

Riley Crawls and Waves

Misc and LONG (Baron & Riley)

Mom and Dad came for a visit this weekend and Chad, Stacy and Riley came and stayed over Friday night. Riley is now 9 months and she's crawling and pulling herself up. She's getting closer and closer to taking that first step. Baron and Riley are finally starting to notice each other more and with that comes added entertainment.

Bananas

This is the first time starting fruits and while I thought that he would love the bananas, near the end he was giving me some incredible faces of displeasure.

Dancing Girl (Parental Discretion Advised)

While getting ready for a bath, Chad started the music and the little girl wanted to show us her moves. Oh and I am loving the baby cheeks...

Meg's Wedding

I know this has nothing to do with Baron but I had to post these video's. Meg's wedding to Austin was this weekend and it was definitely a good time. I decided to bring some masks and when the time was right, pull them out. They ended up to be so much fun.
Mr. Beagles is rockin' the mullet and Phil is the fabulous Governator.

New Foods

We have been through some more new food. It's so fun to start new ones just to see that candid reaction. Once we get through the green beans we have one more vegetable to try and then onto the fruits, which I know that he will enjoy.

Goin' Fishin'

Amy and her family (minus Brooklyn) made the trip down south to watch Baron while Rob and I attended a wedding. We have a pond on our property and have always wondered if there were any fish in there. Of course we have never taken the time to find out. After we left for the wedding I received a text from Amy saying "4 fish and counting". Apparently, as soon as Candon and Griffin cast their lines, they caught a fish. Amy said that Cory couldn't de-hook them fast enough. Overall 12 were caught and Candon reeled in the biggest one.

I forgot to post some of Taylyn...she didn't want anything to do with the fish.

6 mo's old!

Baron turned six months this weekend, I can't believe it. From the whole concept of being pregnant and counting down the days because they can't get here quick enough to having him and now turning six months is remarkable. Time most definitely flies by. He has brought so much more happiness to our lives, more than I would have ever imagined. It's like this toy that we get to keep and the best part...we never get tired of playing with it.
We had his 6 mo check up and he weighed in at 22.5 lbs and was 27in. Off the growth charts in all aspects! They said he was a healthy, happy BIG boy.
