Hot Wheels

This is so Baron's new thing. While cleaning out the basement and going through some boxes I found Rob's hot wheel carrier with several old hot wheels in it. I immediately gave them to Baron to play with because he didn't think cleaning out the basement was that enjoyable. He literally played with those cars for a solid hour. I was shocked. By the time Rob had gotten home, I showed him the new toys that Baron absolutely LOVED playing with and Rob's jaw dropped.
I didn't know how sensitive this 48 year old man was about his old hot wheels. They now reside in Rob's office not to be touched, mauled, scratched by the little one. Oops! Never come in between a man and his hot wheels I have learned.
We bought Baron his very own set along with some tracks, which has now been bumped up to his all time fav's along with his flashlight and train.

Saturday Night Service

We wanted to try the Saturday evening service at our church. We were a bit unprepared this time. We looked online to make sure there was a nursery for Baron and there was, however, they neglected to inform us that it was "man your own nursery". No big deal, just not what we were expecting. So we decided to take Baron into the service with us and if he got restless then I would just take him into the crying room.
He lasted for about 15-20 mins until the loud "WOW"s got to be too frequent and elevated in tone. He was definitely amazed at the giant organ that was playing.

Mardi Gras

Since Mardi Gras is right around the corner, I tried to get some shots of Baron with some beads. He wasn't being the most willing candidate which I assume is going to be like that from here on out. I tried some other poses and he just wasn't having anything to do with it.

Blue Water

While shopping at Walmart yesterday I discovered an amazing addition to bath night. Colored water! All you do is throw in the tablet of the desired color you want and viola. Baron didn't know what to think at first and he kept putting his face close to it to figure out what was going on. Since this was the first time using them, I was a little worried hoping that I wasn't going to pull a little smurf out when finished but that was not the case. And the tub wasn't stained blue either (that was another worry).

Monkey Joe's - Again

Wednesday night we met up with Chad, Stacy and Riley to go to Monkey Joe's. When we first took Baron he liked it and but not like this time. I assume it's going to get better and better the more times he goes. He was much more couragous but I don't know if that was because he made Riley do everything first.
They found a big slide to go down. Riley was the first and since she doesn't weigh hardly a thing would slide down and just keep going. She really had a ball. It was so funny to watch her jump around and fall down.

Snow Play

We finally made it outside to play in what was left of the snow. I know, I know, we should have done it sooner but it was too darn cold out and for a little boy that doesn't want to wear gloves, this was our best option.
I think he liked being outside more than the snow. He went for all the outside toys first rather than play in the snow. He was having a little difficulty getting around due to us forcing him to wear all this snow gear. Poor kid could put his arms down and when he would fall down he would need help up most of the time.

Bed Head

Baron has been waking up with some awful bed head. It's not just the overnight sleeps but also after his naps. I'm know it's not as bad as a little girls bed head but sometimes no matter the amount of spit, it will not go down! ;)

Since Baron was being such a good sport the other morning, I took some pics quickly because you know how that feeling fades. Thankfully I was able to get some good shots.
The B & W, has now been bumped up to one of my all time favorites.

Drifting Snow

I took these cool shots the day after it snowed here in STL. It was freezing but the way the snow traveled across the driveway was very calming yet eerie in a sense.

Out Of Bounds

I have been trying a new effect that I saw on a website. Rob was a willing participant and he even threw in some pretty goofy expressions. They still need a little fine tuning but it's a start. Pretty neat, eh?

Above is Baron's beloved train set that he absolutely loves. Although, he is now into taking it apart and then demanding me to put it back together. I swear it's like a puzzle piece, and I wonder at times with me being 30 that I would be able to do it quickly. But no, not the case even though I have put that thing together about 50 times by now, I still struggle. It also doesn't help when someone hides the pieces.

My Gym Free Play

Photobucket

We took Baron to the Gym for free play this week and as always he loved every minute of it. This time no tears when leaving so that was nice but you could tell he didn't want to go.
He was a very tired boy by the time we got home. That's always nice...

Trying something new...

I have been checking out different video hosting sites to enable me to make the video screen larger yet not lose definition. We'll see if this works...

Heimlich

I took some shots of Heimlich the other day. Those eyes just are so freaky. Plus, he's our first pet and we just love him to pieces.
He was just groomed (meaning shaved), thankfully because we couldn't take one more tuft of hair on the carpet. Not good though that the groomer accidentally cut him under his arm and he had to get stitches. Poor lady felt horrible...it happens though. Nothing like slamming his paw in the door and him screaming like it was death. I'm sure that's how it sounded when she nipped him.
