Sitting Up

Another milestone...It seems like one day he can only do something new a few times and the next he's doing it like he's known all along. Baron is now able to sit up from being on his stomach. He's almost crawling and taking those few forward moves and then plops down on the ground. Hopefully by next week he will have it mastered.

All by Myself

We decided to put the mirror out and Baron just can't get enough of himself...Here a little video montage.

1 for me, 2 for you

Chad copied all of the pictures from his camera card before he left from Thanksgiving and as I was going through the millions of pictures/videos that they took, I came across this one. It was too funny to pass up and I had to post it.
Riley definitely loves broccoli but I don't know if Nakai likes it more.

Chipmunks Captured Baron

It's Baron in a BOX! Of course I played with the sound and it's really Rob and I, not the chipmunks. Sorry to disappoint.

Finger Food...Yea!

Baron took his next step in the food eating category. I don't know if he actually got any in his mouth because it looks like they all just ended up on his face and hands. But he definitely enjoyed it.

Drinking from the Sippy

We just started giving Baron juice in his sippy cup a few days ago and he finally figured out how it works. He just leans all the way back and downs his drink. Only thing missing is the "aaahhhh" at the end.

Our First Weekend Away

This past weekend Rob and I were able to drop Baron off at Aunt Amy's house and have a night to ourselves. I've got to admit, I was a little teary and as we were walking out of the house, I looked at Rob and knew he was feeling the same thing. Especially when he said, "Don't look at me".
I knew that Baron was in good hands, especially with all of Amy's kids to entertain him. When we picked him up, she said he did really good, however, that morning when she went to get him out of the crib she said that he took one look at her and his lower lip started quivering and then cried. Boy, doesn't that make a mother feel good. I was hoping that I was missed.

This is a video I took when we got home. He was in such a good mood, surprisingly.

We have teeth!

Finally, Baron's two bottom teeth have come through. It just started with one and soon I noticed the tooth right next to it coming in as well. I was surprised that he wasn't very fussy because I was honestly bracing myself for a few bad days when they came in but he hasn't been bad at all. That's also coming from a kid who got his flu shot and didn't cry. What a good boy...Rob says he trained him well. Crying is for babies...:)

Riley Walking (Sorta)

Chad sent these two video's to me today and I thought that I would share Riley's new accomplishment. She has the pulling herself up thing mastered and now she is pulling herself up and able to walk with a little added help. I'm sure in no time she will be testing her limits and starting to take a few steps by herself.

Mornings with Rob - Part 2

Company Meeting

Rob and the Not So Nice Bear

Playing with Photoshop

This week I learned a neat little trick by tinting some of the pictures. Here are just a few that I have played with. It's really cool and hopefully more to come.

Baron's Wall Art

Several weeks ago Mom and Dad came visit and they had bought some stick on letters (awesome!) for Baron's room. With the help of both of them before they left, we all put up the first part which was Baron's name and left the rest to Rob and I. Well...that didn't turn out so well. A few days later, Rob and I started and about an hour later it was in the trash and Rob was running downstairs for a glass of wine.

So, needless to say, I saved it and was waiting for the experts to come back and help us with the last part. Mom and CJ came for a short visit this weekend and thanks to their help, they were able to put the remaining part up. (No, it's not crooked, it's just how I took the picture)

Mein kleiner deutscher Junge

Rob is so proud of his little German boy. When we went to the St. Charles Oktoberfest we bought some Lederhosen for Baron and I was finally able to get the rest of the outfit together. He looks so cute. Rob wanted to sing the German song that his grandparents would sing to him. Definitely not American Idol material.

Halloween 2008

Our first Halloween with Baron was such a fun time. We packed up the truck on Friday afternoon and headed to Edwardsville to watch the parade with Chad, Stacy and Riley. This was going to be our first over night stay at their place and we were hoping that Baron was going to be a good little boy. When we arrived we dressed the babies and headed in town to the parade.

Riley went as a flower, which Stacy made. Was a riot! Baron went as a Caterpillar.

I don't think either of them got much out of the parade besides the lights and the loud noises. They just sat next to each other in their strollers and held hands. It was so cute. When we were back at Chad and Stacy's, Baron threw a fit (someone didn't have their nap) and was totally exhausted and finally fell asleep for the night. We were lucky, both babies slept all night...Can't wait until next year.
