This was our first time heading to Ballwin Day's with Baron and we had a blast. Our plan was to go around 8pm walk around, see if there were any rides he could ride, check out the cute baby contest we entered him in and then see the fireworks. We got there a little late so we just walked around and eventually found a good spot to watch the fireworks at 9.30pm. Since Baron's bedtime is at 8.30pm I was a little unsure on how he was going to take being up much later but he really did good. The fireworks scared him a little bit at first but after that, he just sat in amazement and kept saying "oooo" and pointing. Overall, I was a great family outing.

The next day we headed back to Ballwin Days to check out their kids corner. Since we went so late the night before we missed it and wanted to come back to check it out. Of course we went at high noon when it felt 100 degrees out and had to park a mile away, once in the park we headed straight for the kids corner. They had been promoting some kind of sprinkler for the kids and also many activities that kids of all ages can enjoy. Well, as we rounded the corner, the sprinklers were out of order and the kids corner consisted of a table with coloring books on it. I don't know what happened but we weren't too happy. The best thing that came about of the situation were the pony rides on the other side of the pond. I was very nervous at first when Rob said he wanted to see Baron sit on the horse and was literally freaking out when he wanted him to ride it. It all turned out well and Baron got to ride his first horse. Yippee!

Did you take the fireworks shots manually or did you use the fireworks setting? They turned out great.

Please tell me that horse isn't wearing a tiara.

How cute is Baron is his equestrian diggs?

Thanks for the compliments. Yes, I did use the firework setting as I tried the other way and just didn't have the time to figure it out. And yes, the horse was wearing a tiara...
