Friday, we decided that since the weather showed rain for the rest of the weekend, we would head to to see the Balloon Glow in Forest Park. In the past, pre-Baron, Rob and I had tried to watch the Forest Park Balloon Race but waited for an hour to get into the park and decided it wasn't worth the crowds so we turned away. I had heard the Balloon Glow wasn't going to be as crowded and thought we should give it a shot. I was totally wrong.
It took us over an hour to get there (usually it takes 30 mins) and another 30 mins to find a parking spot. We were happy when we found one, but then realized that we were on the other side of the park and it took us over 30 mins to walk to the location. Stacy and Riley, whom we were meeting, had already arrived, and had a great spot. The one problem was that we had to find a way to wiggle the stroller in between all the blankets, kids, chairs, and people. Talk about some NASTY looks. By the time we set the chairs up by Stacy, and started to feed Baron my patience had had it. This was definitely not a relaxing event.
In the end, it was a good experience, however, I will not do it again. The best part was walking around, underneath those huge balloons with Stacy while Baron and Riley walked between us holding hands. That was a first and so sweet.
